Richard Mellon Scaife, who funded the "Arkansas Project" at The American Spectator, and is probably a charter member of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy,met with Hillary Clinton recently.
This is approximately like... well, I can't think of anything analogous. Yassir Arafat paying a friendly visit to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, maybe? For those unfamiliar with the magazine, The American Spectator sold lots of magazines in the 1990s with its monthly Clinton dirt-digging. David Brock wrote an expose about Anita Hill for them (before recanting and becoming a lefty) and they broke the story about Bill's Arkansas troopers pimping (literally) for Bill while he was governor.
Speculation is that Hillary was there to get Scaife to circulate a hit job on Obama.
And people keep telling me that Saddam Hussein would never have supported al Qaeda because he was secular.
