During the debate there was that whole exchange were Kerry wanted bi-lateral talks with Nth Korea and Bush did not. He preferred the 6 country talks.

Isnt that a contradiction of Bushs "we dont need no other stinking country." international relations policy?? He picks on Kerry for wanting other countries invovement, then he turns around and says that we NEED China to do out Nth Korea dirty work.

Is this a Bush flip flop?

Not at all and quite the contrary.

Bush has other countries involved in things now as it is, several countries involved in Afghanistan and about 30 involved in Iraq. He wanted more but some said no. His policy has been to seek the help of others but said he is willing to do it alone if not help is given.

Kerry has stated that Bush does not seek the help of others. I can only assume this is because he didn't get enough help in Kerry's opinion for other things. Yet Kerry is the one saying to do it alone and without the help of other countries when it comes to North Korea in his desire to not involve anyone else and have bi-lateral talks

And doesn't China itself want the US to engage in bilateral talks with North Korea?

Yeah but who cares what China wants. We'll make them talk by ourselves if no one else will help push them into the talks. haha:p

The coalition of 30 is an exaggeration. Most of the countries support is little more than a thumbs up, or a handful of non combat troops.

Kerry wants both bi lateral and 6 way talks. But if you flipped the script and HE wanted China involved you can bet the Bushies would be screaming "Golbal Test"!!! Theyd hammer home how Kerry was relying on our evil commie rivals to protect us.
