I used to listen to Glenn Beck on the way home from work and when I was laid off. I enjoyed his radio show and found it to be entertaining. When I got my current job, I no longer had time to listen to him. When I heard he got an evening program on CNN, I was excited because I would have time to watch it. I saw the first four episodes and was terribly disappointed.

It sucked.

I don't get it. There's just something about his appearance that kills the entertainment value. Could it be his dorky smile? The fact that he looks stiff and lifeless in a suit? He stupid facial expressions? I don't know, but I can't bare to watch him on TV. Same goes for O'Reilly and Hannity. I can listen to their radio programs, but I can't stand to watch them on TV because I find their appearance and demeanor irritating.

I can't believe that Beck would promote John Edwards. It dumbfounds me. John Edward's crap goes against everything Beck stands for, which has always been the brutal and ugly truth. I'm pretty sure if Edwards were on Beck's radio show, he would totally rip him apart. I take this video to mean that Beck has totally sold out to "The Man". Very, very sad. :(
 
Sadly, John Edward is going to have a surge in popularity due to John Edwards announcing plans to run for President.

Or else from them rerunning the show he was on at least twice that I know of.

Yes. He announced that practically every day on his radio show.

Interesting point, Alfaniner. Makes you wonder if the show's coordinators actually thought they were getting John Edwards on the show.

Glen: "Pssst! Hey! This isn't John Edwards. Who the hell is this dork?"
Producer: "I know. The coordinator screwed up. Just run with it. Ask him a few questions and play along." :D

I had never heard of Beck before he got his tv show.

For whatever reason, I didn't like him even enough to figure out what his general outlook was for quite awhile.

Then I heard him doing the classic misrepresent what Carter said about the Israeli/Palestinian situation and bash him for it thing and I was really turned off. I saw him doing the Edward interview for a few minutes and managed to get disgusted just about as quickly as I ever do at this kind of thing.

If he isn't really sort of a credulous idiot then he is certainly wildly hypocritical.
 
Glenn Beck? Heard of him first on Swift...maybe that's not the best introduction given the substance of the video. Since I've been bed bound in Vegas the past couple of days due to illness I've seen more of him than I care to. He had Bonaduce on and at one time they were comparing cocaine addiction stories. Who needs that? So far Beck hasn't shown ANY substance and who cares if he takes John Edwards seriously?
 
I think CNN stripped him of everything that made his radio show edgy and interesting. They cut off his balls. Now he's just a talking head. Terrible way to end a career. :(

Funny how listening to a completely idiotic jerk blast forth utter balderdash can seem so sensible, but when you see the full-on maniacal ego-intensive power-driven corrupt lying ugliness, then it ain’t so pretty or sensible. :boggled:
 

The signs indicating that Glenn Beck is a worthless ****wad have been beyond obvious for some time now. Giving him a T.V. show might be the worst idea in human history. I'm not a violent or religious person, but very time he opens his mouth I can't help but pray his head explodes and kills him and burns every ******* around him who thinks it's a good idea to broadcast his ignorance to millions of people alive while their families watch. The misery caused by the the entire combined careers of O'Reiley, Hannity, Colmes, Olberman, Limbaugh, and Tucker Carleson don't come close to mental anguish I feel hearing even 10 seconds of this douchebag speak.

Race and religion bating isn't edgy. It's horrible. Humoring a lying fraud isn't being open minded. It's awful. **** Glenn Beck in his bigoted ass with a habanero coated fire truck.

Isn't he a Mormon also? I read his book once (from the library). It was forgettable and I don't recall one word of it.
But he had on a totally cool "lesson" on the history of Israel. Anyone catch that?

Now it all makes perfect sense. In my experience, Mormons are incredibly gullible and pretty much willing to accept any sort of woo.
 
OK, this is an older thread, but I searched first before posting and found it.

I've never watched Glen Beck nor listened to him on the radio. I did a quick Wiki search and read a brief biography about him.

I'm now listening to Glen Beck on CNN Cable interviewing LaHaye and Jenkins (of the "Left Behind" infamy). He is showing an hour long program about "End Times". He claims he's "searching for answers", but only has these delusional evangelical fear mongers on his program, and he's also touting and supporting their views. Beck just claimed he read all the "Left Behind" books

They're spending the bulk of the show slamming Iran from a biblical viewpoint.

I know that John Edwards is the "douchebag of the universe", but I'm starting to feel there should be some similar ad hom for Glen Beck as well.

I know CNN is only filling space between commercials, but please, this is pathetic.

I feel dirty. Perhaps I'll go take a shower .....

Once again, I can't believe he's eating up this crap. This is not the Glenn Beck I remember listening to 2 years ago. He appears to have totally fallen off the fundy deep end. Sad. :(
