"Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please." -Mark Twain

I kind of laughed when I read this quote just now because I remember how Alex Jones would quote Mark Twain all the time, so I'm going to guess here and say that this quote inspired him to become the fear mongering nutcase that he is today. Thoughts?

Actually they do. They must know the facts to carefully avoid even mistakenly stating any of them :)

You mean on the principle that even a blindfolded chimp in a dark room could hit the target at least once if it threw enough darts, that if they didn't they'd have gotten something right by now?

Hey, my job in this NWO operation was to drop the hijacker's passport near the WTC site and leave. Don't confuse me with this extra stuff! :eye-poppi

Aye, but my job is to monitor the people who planted the passports.

My job is to watch all of you.
Gravy, get your feet off the desk and go back to writing letters from Mike The EMT to Dylan. Ref, get me coffee. and Gumboot... um... work on those waffles.

I'm still disturbed that gumboot has never had waffles. From the cheap (Waffle House) to the extravagent (Walker Brothers bacon waffle), they are a simple joy of life.

Well I sort of had them. We had an icecream franchise here a while back that used waffle cones, but that's the closest I'm afraid, they don't really have Waffle Houses here. Never had a bagel either, but then I'd almost guarantee that you've never had kumara done in a hungi or pavaloa either, so we're probably even there.

hungi - pit bbq?
kumara - sweet potato?
pavaloa - similar to our divinity cookies, no?

One of the things I love about Chicagoland, and even Cleveland (where I lived before) is the incredible enthic diversity. I'm a total foodie.

hungi - pit bbq?

Nope, it is done in a pit, but by using a wood fire to heat pourous rocks that have been soaked in water, once the fire is out and just hot ash, it is covered and the food then is basically steamed in the ground.

kumara - sweet potato?

Similar, but different.

pavaloa - similar to our divinity cookies, no?

Looking at the recipies for divinity cookies, then sorta. From the size of the cookies, I'd expect that they are solid Meringue, the pavlov should only have a thin coating of Meringue with a soft marshmellowy centre. It's also cake sized not "cookie" size.

Have you ever had piping hot Cheese scones right out of the oven.....

Yep, scones ftw! Though I confess a weakness for the maple oat scones from Starbucks.
