hi I cant find an answer to this in anz searcgh engine, so I ask here.
If a woman has a strong jaw or Chin,is that a sign of more testosterone than usual in a female, and if a male has a soft face and full lips, is that a sign of more estrogen than usual in a male?

thanks:o

Because of the QWERTZ keyboard instead of the QWERTY?

If so, it would be an English or American guy, typing on a German keyboard and thus hitting the Z instead of the Y. :)

im not german but my PC was set up to write german .:D

Odz bodkins!

idunno--are you asking whether there's a correlation between the shape of the jaw/chin and the relative amounts of testosterone and estrogen present in a person? The answer to that is plainly, no. You can take an injection of testosterone (greatly changing the the t/e proportino) and your jaw will NOT change shape. (And women's jaws would change shapes on a monthly cycle from menarche to menopause.)

I suspect that's not what you're asking. If you can clarify your question, you'll probably find the answer.

I was just reading some dubious stuff about a correlation in the ratio of the length of the 2nd and 4th digits (index and ring fingers) to the amount of testosterone present in the uterine environment during the first trimester. (Women's 2nd:4th digit ration is nearly 1, while men's tend to be lower--i.e. women's 2D and 4D are nearly the same length, while men tend to have more different lengths.) What little I've been able to find on it isn't very convincing. Anyone know about that?

you mean there is no relation betwen looks and feminine or masculine traits?

No, he means that changes in testosterone can't cause immediate physical changes to, for instance, the shape of the jaw. But I'm pretty sure anyone can see that's not what you were asking about.

What might affect the shape of a person's jaw is the level of testerone present durring development. That could include in the womb or during growth (I guess the first 15 years of life?).
I imagine there would tend to be a greater affect the earlier back you look, because there's more time for small changes to influence other aspects of development, or for a change in one dirrection to cause future development to continue in the same dirrection.

That's all speculation, though, and we'll have to wait for someone who knows something about this to see if testosterone levels during development really are correlated with jaw shape.
