Geller's adoption show patent

I'm surprised there's been no mention in the forum about Uri's patent for a "Reality" TV adoption show, which you can read here:

According to a writer for the Guardian, Uri says he only patented the idea (which he came up with for a fiction book) to prevent someone else from doing such a thing...

Um...

That's just an application. The patent hasn't been granted. So Uri Geller hasn't patented anything.

You can apply to have anything at all patented, as long as you can pay the fee. An intergalatic spaceship, thought control devices, technology to clone Martha Stewart. And you don't even have to prove that it works, or that it's feasible. All you need is a sketch, or a drawing, or a prospectus.

And a bankroll.
