Would anyone like to join my new facebook group :Uri Geller: Please Straighten A Spoon. It is for all those who would like to call upon Uri Geller to take a bent spoon and straighten it by the use of his special powers.

No, he has been proven a fraud and admitted to being a fraud. He falls into the category of "who cares?".

I understand it's your username, but it's perhaps not the best thing to spray a new member with insulting sarcasm.

I think it's a really witty idea but, like others, I don't think it'll really do too much.

Alex.

Yup, plastering his name all over the place is really going to do him a world of harm.
Not.
He might get some attention, but it would be negative attention, and contrary to the Hollywood axiom, there is such a thing as "bad publicity". Randi spent quite a bit of effort giving Gellar bad publicity. While I wouldn't expect a facebook group to do so much, I completely support any effort to have Gellar identified as a fraud and to have that label stamped on him indelibly.

But I don't do facebook.

I've always wondered why he doesn't do the same "trick" with a knife... perhaps because they are usually made in a way that doesn't allow them to be manually bent so easily.

In reply to the OP - sorry, I don't do facebook either.

What would you be uncivil to a guy with three posts?

I appreciate he is not "new" to the forum, but he is certainly "new" to posting here. There's a massive and important difference between an active participant and someone who reads through occasionally (supposition) but doesn't post (had posted a maximum of 2 times at the time he posted this, from my memory). Why you'd treat him with unnecessary and undeserved insulting sarcasm when he's participating is really beyond me.

Alex.

I think I read somewhere he admitted fraud, but I have always had this idea that his "powers" might have been more impressive if he had tried to bend a plastic spoon without it breaking.

i would find his stuff entertaining if he wouldnt claim special powers.
