Why couldn't they just be content with a separate Civil Egg event at someone else's white-painted house?
These egg-rolling parents of small children must be at war with Christianity.
My sentimets exactly. It's not like there's going to be a bunch of cross-dressers and their kids. Wearing a rainbow colored leia seems pretty subdued IMHO.I especially loved this:
""I think it's inappropriate to use a children's event to make a political statement," said Mark D. Tooley, of the Institute on Religion and Democracy."
I wish them all the luck in the world and hope they make a much-needed point.
P.S. I heard Cheney's daughter wanted to attend but gave away her invitation when, "Dad suddenly decided to clean the shotgun."![]()
Why should they? They're American citizens . . .
I note the White House - or at least Laura Bush - doesn't seem to have any particular problem with this.My sentimets exactly. It's not like there's going to be a bunch of cross-dressers and their kids. Wearing a rainbow colored leia seems pretty subdued IMHO.

If she had any balls, she would.Well, what did you expect her to say? "Those fags aren't welcome here"?

Well, we had a discussion here not long ago that centered around the question of whether or not Islam was antithetical to democracy. There were some of us who argued that one can be a devout, even fundamental Christian and still love democracy, while it was impossible to be a devout, fundamental Muslim and still love democracy.I think it's funny that there's an Institure on Religion and Democracy...shouldn't those ideas be seperated?

Or it could be I took your comment more seriously than you'd intended...I guess my joke was lost on myself...I asked if Religion (church) and Democracy (state) should be seperated.
My bad for the unfunny joke...
They're American citizens . . . you know with all those self-evident truths about being created equal and all . . .
