Gage's most recent infomercial

really? dude, I love your posts, but at least give me (and others) some commentary on what you thought.

From the 3-4 minutes I listened to, it sounds like a simple parroting of his usual DRG parroting.

Ya mon, is there something new, or is it the same pyroclastic free-falling coverup ?

Pretty dead on aside from the fact that they are selling his DVD for the low low price of $75! My title was not a joke. Its an unabashed infomercial. You have the host asking set up questions and Gage demonstrating his shamwow and how it cleans up pesky factual information as easy as 1, 2, 3.

While I know much of radio and TV is scripted, even most interviews...there was no spontaneity about it. Just her setting them up and Gage knocking them down. They might as well had her in a cardboard box for Gage to saw her in half to illustrate thermite cutting through steel like a hot knife through butter.

Can you just see the truthers listening to it...

"Oh wow, I could really use that DVD to convince my parents. If I had a girlfriend, I know I could convince her too!"

Same old same old.

I wonder, though, whether he may have shot himself in the foot here.

He raised all this money to put his "PSA" about WTC 7 on the TV. Supposedly, this is a non-profit operation and thus not taxable, and perhaps some of his donors donated thinking that it would be a valid charitable donation for tax purposes.

Is there any doubt in anyone's mind that he planned the release of the PSA to stimulate interest in his CD? Where is the money from that going to go?

Am I the only one who thinks that IRS and DoJ should be nosing about in little Dickie's papers and hard drive right about now?

$75 for a CD? Really?

Using Science to kill the myth? Cmon Gage you can do better. Just be open and say you're just using rehashed speculation that's been circulating since 2006.

Now, you too can join us in the fight against the Evil Money-Grubbing Rich Greedy Capitalist Gubmint! For only $75 plus shipping & handling!

CTers

"You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free, $75 a head.

$75 for a DVD is VERY Steep, don't you think?

Well, it would be no fun if that kind of exotic knowledge was available on the BBC for free. Then everyone would know it and it would be ... eurgh!...mainstream *shudder* and therefore just so not cool!

$75 should keep the riff-raff away.

Haven't you guys ever seen a pledge drive before? It's common practice for a fund-raising body to offer donors "gifts" far beneath the value of the donation. Check your local PBS station.

Richard Gage is undeniably scummy, but I doubt he's doing anything illegal.

Uh huh. I hope he makes a fortune off of the gullible nitwits that buy his ****. If they are stupid enough to buy into his crap, then they deserve to lose their cash to his packaged snake oil.

If the CD money goes to him, and the infoscam was paid for by the non-profit, it would be. I think that was the issue, anyway.

The non-profit pays for the infomercials, the donations go to the non-profit, and the non-profit pays Mr. Gage a salary. All perfectly legal.

Did anybody else catch that whopper at around 10:30 in? Apparently it isn't bad enough the general public isn't "aware" of WTC7, now most architects and engineers aren't aware of it either.

I thought he misspoke but he never corrected himself. Figures.

And next year, we will all know exactly how much Gage et al make.

Form 990's are great!
