The Free State Project is an attempt to achieve, in one well-chosen U.S. State, a rapid return to Freedom that small-government Republicans and the Libertarian Party have not been able to attain in over 30 years of effort.

The 2005-2006 legislative session is over and done with in New Hampshire.
This was the first session in which over 100 of the "First 1000" Free Staters had actually moved in-state.

In the blogpost below, I've listed some of our victories this year:
Free State Victories: 2005-2006 Legislative Session

Keep in mind -- all of these victories happened with just over 100 "early-movers", and not one Free-Stater in the State Legislature! This coming November, over a dozen Free-Staters will be running for State Representative positions. Representatives can submit any bill to the legislature, and can call for a full floor debate on any bill. Just think how much fun next year is going to be :)

When you are tired of watching your freedoms evaporate....
When you are tired of being a tiny minority fighting a losing battle...
When you are ready to fight for Freedom -- and win, come join us in the Free State!

THIS JUST IN:
FREE STATE WHACKO GETS MARTYRED

For the third time in the last four days, Keene resident Russell Kanning finds himself in Federal custody. The 36-year-old libertarian activist isn't in trouble for selling drugs, threatening officials or endangering anyone. Instead, he's the target of Federal wrath because he attempted to enter the Keene IRS office with…a piece of paper.

Last Thursday, after announcing his intentions publicly, Kanning appeared in front of Keene's IRS branch wearing overalls and a straw hat, clutching a pitchfork in one hand and a leaflet in the other. His intent was to enter the IRS office - sans pitchfork - and hand the leaflet to any government employees working there.

Bored Homeland Security agents and Migra agents battle this doofus. Complete with picture.

From here: http://www.lp.org/lpnews/printer_820.shtml

2004 LP presidential candidate Michael Badnarik has reportedly signed up to join other Libertarians in New Hampshire for the Free State Project.

This tells you everything you need to know about the Free State Project.

Looks like we have a new target for ridicule!

I agree with you. This guy is not helping the cause. Fortunately, he and 3-4 of his closest friends are the only ones acting this way. The other 150+ of us are doing more constructive things (like running for office, starting up newspapers, and helping those who are)
