So it turns out Sean Hannity and other Fox News personalities KNEW they were lying about the 2020 election

They knew the claims about Dominion software were baseless BS. They knew all the conspiracy theories were silly nonsense. But they fueled and spread them anyway, doing serious financial harm to Dominion and other companies.

Fox is toast. I think they will be found liable and will owe $1 billion in damages. Or more.

FAR more important: they knew that their viewers would believe them when they lied, and not the rest of the Media.
This is 100% Cult methodology.

Just the fact that Murdoch himself has/had to testify will probably cure Fox of future lies on this scale and with this scope and persistence.

Fox is a right-wing propaganda site. CNN is skewed left, but Fox is worse.

MediaBias/FactCheck

Fox News:
Questionable Reasoning: Conspiracy Theories, Pseudoscience, Propaganda, Poor Sources, Numerous Failed Fact Checks
Bias Rating: RIGHT
Factual Reporting: MIXED
Country: USA
Press Freedom Rank: MOSTLY FREE
Media Type: TV Station/Website
Traffic/Popularity: High Traffic
MBFC Credibility Rating: LOW CREDIBILITY

CNN:
Bias Rating: LEFT
Factual Reporting: MIXED
Country: USA
Press Freedom Rating: MOSTLY FREE
Media Type: TV Station
Traffic/Popularity: High Traffic
MBFC Credibility Rating: MEDIUM CREDIBILITY

What the FactCheck not mentions is that Fox might not actually lie that much, but they will not report at all on certain topics whilst overreporting on others to an insane degree.
The result is the same as lying.

Yeah I've seen charts on media coverage. Things that get lots of coverage on the "MSM" like January 6, gets barely a blip on Fox News, while they talk ad nauseum about the border or Fentanyl etc. They make problems look like crisis.

I've seen Jesse Waters* coverage and he will dig up some old story about some liberal who did something he considers bad, somewhere within the USA and then spend an entire segment on it. And a lot of times its not new its like a court case update or something. So it seems like "da libruls" or ruining America.

*no I do not tune into Jesse Waters. I go to the gym and hit the elliptical I like best... and there is usually some old man one row in front of me on an exercise bike who has Fox News on the built in TV. And between 5 and 6PM mountain, theres Jesse Waters with subtitles on.

That's why I laugh at CNN's "left" bias. Just because a couple of prime-time talking heads smirk at the dumb things right-wingers say doesn't make the network left-leaning. the stories they choose to present and how they present them skew very corporate-friendly.

Well, since the right started going ******* insane, and attacked corps for things like having a gay couple in a movie they produced, or offering ESG investment funds, corporate money has swung well to the left. Also, expect CNN to really go for "neutral" viewership with Chris Licht now in charge. He was formerly in charge at CBS News, who in my view tends skew slightly right wing.

the viewers don't care. Most of them understood on some level it was a lie. But it s a lie that confirms their worldview.

This is 100% Cult methodology.

Cults usually have to mentally break their members down a little more. FOX viewers are willingly brainwashed.

I have found myself reading less and less of CNN lately. I don't know that I have a reason, I just feel like their reporting isn't as good. I didn't\don't watch the channel all that much but reading their site just seems...bleh. I can't quite put my finger on why, or what it is, but I feel like they've dropped off a bit lately.

Gay couple in a movie: bad

Testicle tanning: good

or offering ESG investment funds, corporate money has swung well to the left.

most of the executives at major media and finance companies are still right-wing. Bob Iger might like gay people's money, but he also likes tax breaks and labor deregulation.

The majors all tend to be institutional conservatives.

I don't really use their website for anything except a quick reference. their TV coverage annoys me because they use that quick cut, blaring music, report one story all day but declare "BREAKING NEWS" every 10 minutes while you just repeat the same thing over and over and panel show format that seems to be a template.

That's a result of 24 hour news.

Oh, ya, all 24 hour news networks suck. FOX is just evil on top of it.

They'll also have people like Hannity and Carlson do a lot of JAQing off in a highly manipulative manner so as to tell their audience what to be angry about.

From the Times news story linked in the opening post.
On Nov. 30, 2020, Sean Hannity hosted Sidney Powell on his prime-time Fox News program. As she had in many other interviews around that time — on Fox and elsewhere in right-wing media — Ms. Powell, a former federal prosecutor, spun wild conspiracy theories...Ms. Powell claimed Dominion Voting Systems ran an algorithm that switched votes for Mr. Trump to votes for Joseph R. Biden Jr. Dominion machines, she insisted, were being used “to trash large batches of votes.” Mr. Hannity interrupted her with a gentle question that had been circulating among election deniers, despite a lack of supporting proof: Why were Democrats silencing whistle-blowers who could prove this fraud?

When Hannity was deposed by attorneys for Dominion Voting systems, when asked under oath if he believed what Powell was saying, Hannity replied:
“I did not believe it for one second.”

Proving, Dominion says, Hannity and other "Fox employees knew that what they were broadcasting was false."

We all knew they were lying about the election. Jokes aside, they can't all be that stupid.

FOX has been caught multiple times editing video to make Biden look stupid or feeble. That right there should be enough for anyone to watch or read other news sources.

FOX lies and misrepresents through omission as well, as has been stated already. CNN and FOX are nothing alike in their level of bias or downright lying.

We all know about FOX's edited videos right? I just did a search but there are too many to choose from.

Switch to video results if you want:
https://www.google.com/search?clien...him+look+bad&sourceid=opera&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

You could show a viewer these videos, walk them through it and prove without a doubt that FOX just lied to their face and most will just blow it off.

If I saw a news site pull that crap just once they would be dead to me. Blatant and deliberate misrepresentation.

Those edited videos are a large reason we hear so many GOP talking about how senile Biden is.
