Maybe it's the fact that I've wasted several minutes of my day watching that sorry excuse for a martial arts-derrived sport, Olympic Taekwondo and I'm a bit cranky.

Whee... foot tag. Let's keep our arms at our sides, never throw punches, hop around like we're tweaking on meth, and pretend it's a sport that also teaches an effective form of self defense.

What I found most bizzare was the sabre.

Basically a game of tag in a small space except using a sword to touch the other person. Weird.
