Chicken Pot Pie
Bawkbagawk Bawkbagone!
Did anyone see this morning's broadcast of Fox and Friends? John Edward is promoting a new program where he follows up on past participants in their own homes to see how they have applied those readings into their daily lives. They took calls from the viewers for Edward to read. There were only two callers. The first one made no connection whatsoever with Edward's reading. Edward used the usual substitution of person connected excuse for the failure. The second caller seemed to agree with everything, even showing her emotion with her voice breaking. I was astounded to hear the crew going along with the "feeling" of the caller. They went to Mancow next, and Mancow point blank expressed his opinion that talking with the dead was impossible, pointing out that many folks are bilked out of cash by these unscrupulous readers. E.D. and Brian both said words to the effect that the caller seemed to "get" something from Edward's reading that was "undeniable" and Brian even used such words as "something I've never seen before". Mancow said he hoped Edward would be doing this for free, and suddenly they ended his segment, saying they had run out of time! Obviously, they were plugging Edward's show and hadn't expected Mancow's comments. Mancow even mentioned that he and E.D. had spoken about this before, and did she believe that people can really talk to the dead. E.D. stammered before defending what they had all just witnessed by the second caller's reaction, as though that were proof that Edward had made a connection in some way. It was pathetic.
