When is the best time to do the forum group photo?

Way over yonder (whoa, did I just use the word yonder?) in this thread, Claus suggested having a poll to vote for the best time to do the group photo. So here you go... with four Planet X options!

Multiple choices are allowed.

well and remember, Scotth is going to take the photograph and offer copies for sale too. It's way way easier than everyone saying "wait wait, do one with MY camera"

So it's going to be up to when Scotth is free!
 
What? No "On Planet X, the best time is Thursday, at 2:45, during lunch break" option?
 
Nooo! Some of us aren't arriving until Thursday afternoon.
 
It will be announced, repeatedly, during TAM. I suspect it will be sometime during the day on Saturday, as that should be when we have maximum attendance.

Depending on where we choose to do the photo, different times of day may be optimal.

We'll let ya know when we have it figured out.
 
Goodie, maybe I'll actually be part of the photo this year! Yes scotth, I'll want to buy a copy.
 
Friday is better for me than Saturday because I will probably need my breaks on Saturday to coordinate Forum party stuff with Cesar's palace (room numbers etc)
 
A two day photo?
mark the camera position, and have everyone stand on either side of a center divider. Left on Fri. Right on Sat. They can be merged in Photoshop.
Or just two separate photos.
 
or just take it with a very high exposure time film, leave the camera there for a couple of days and people that want to show up in the photo just have to be stationary during 12h to actually be captured on film
 
so.... did they take a photo in the end?

..or is someone busy doing an imagemap for it like last year? :-)
 
I've got the main one. I've processed 1700+ photos from TAM so far. The group photos are in the 258 that are left to process, yet.
 
Argh. I have no idea how I yet AGAIN managed to completely miss the group photo.

I'm sure it has something to do with my sleeping too much.
 
@alfaniner, the guy who took the photo has a lot of photos to sort through.

@everyone else, what was the confusion with the time? I showed up twice and only found one or two other people wondering what the heck was going on. How and when was the final time announced?

Yeah, I did make it out there for that aborted attempt. I don't know if the actual successful group photo took place around that same time, or at a completely later one, but I only found out about it after I got back on the forums here. D'OH, I say!
 
I can't offer a forum photo, but if we hadn't been trying to find the right location, this photo opportunity would never have happened:

I think the official "official" one was around 6:00 on Saturday.
