Officials are still waiting for people to come forward, but they estimate she bilked people out of about a million dollars. Her schtick was to claim that the valuables (including apparently a Chevy Trailblazer) were cursed and she needed to have it to cleanse it. You'd have thought she would have seen this coming (especially she was already under court order to make restitution from a case a year ago).

You know, it all sounds sophisticated until you get to the line

Marks’ daughter, Peaches, 33,

and then it just seems silly.

Peaches? That's going to look funny on the indictment.

My Chevy Cavalier is cursed.

Think I could get it cleansed?

I will handle that for you. Just send it here, I'll do the rest.:D

Send it? Ok

/slaps a "Far Better Place" address sticker and some postage on it and parks it by the mail box.

Now if only it would be gone in the morning...

seems that "removing curses" and "cleansing" is an industry-standard

It seems that uri geller, one of the best 'cleansers' in the industry, has discovered a very valuable ancient stone that sits in remote town in Northern England and has convinced the townspeople that he is the perfect guy to remove it so he can take it to his own property, where he can 'cleanse' the curse from it.

Uri says this stone is a piece of valuable art, and would look great in his garden! OK, so he volunteered to take it.

http://today.reuters.co.uk/news/new...517Z_01_CHA882374_RTRUKOC_0_BRITAIN-CURSE.xml Although this article says Geller intends to remove the stone a more current article dated today (from Carlisle)says the Town Council voted to retain it, and Geller's offer was rejected.

Of course, if there happens to be another run of 'bad luck' in Carlisle in the future, they might well keep Uri Geller's cell-phone number handy!

All GM products are cursed. This is pretty much common knowledge. You have only yourself to blame.

Yup! Tricky's right. Never buy genetically modified vehicles.
