Another rare case of a proveable false accusation courtesy of the 'Daily Fail':

A Bosnian refugee falsely accused of sexual harassment has set up a GoFundMe page to help him get his life back on track.

Kenan Basic helped Caitlyn Gray, now 20, fix her car for two hours in Bankstown, west Sydney in November.

Gray, who was 19 at the time, lied to police that he demanded sexual favours and lunged at her breasts and crotch when she refused.

The chance that he isn't is almost as high: 50.1% versus 49.9%:
That's the wrong sample set, though. To get a proper estimate of his religion, you'll have to look at the demographics of Bosnian refugees in Australia.

The only way your estimate works is if the distribution was even before the refugees started leaving, and if the refugees left in an even distribution, and went to Australia in the an even distribution.

The girl has mental illness.

Daily Mail said:
The court heard Gray, who has no prior criminal history, had regularly been seeing a psychologist in November last year – before making the false accusations against Mr Basic.

It does if there isn't one there.

Light bouncing off high-stratosphere ice crystals can refract in a manner that produces the optical illusion of a psychologist holding a clipboard. It's a very well-known phenomenon, first described in an eighth century Andalusian work on optics called "Observations on the several properties of sunlight and why Dr Birnbaum is appearing in my study".

So, they actually investigated her claims and determined she was lying? How about that?

Its like, if you let these accusations actually go through the proper procedures instead of just accusing the women of lying and dismissing it, you get to some sort of truth.

I don't think many people believe that false accusations never happen. I certainly don't believe that.

One person lying does not make any other person more likely to be lying.

We know false accusations of sexual assault happen. We know they have been used to ruin lives. Look at Brian Banks.

However, these cases are more indictments of the justice system (at least in the US) than it is some sort of defense against listening to women who report sexual assault. Statistically, a man in the US is about as likely to serve jail time for a false rape accusation as he is for any other felony accusation.

What is this based on? I've heard similar stats (the "2%" figure in particular) but I don't think they represent what people claim they do.

Fairly high chance the dude is muslim.

This might drive the SJW's into extreme internal conflict

Which out weighs which on the privilege/victim vortex

I would think it would drive you into an extreme internal conflict more.

Another one of those women who go around accusing innocents of rape, and it's a Muslim immigrand? A Muslim immigrant, and he didn't rape someone?

Which outweighs which on the hate immigrants/hate women scale?

It's a fun game you have invented.

I thought the opening post was calling the bloke a liar

Edit: You have what I think the wrong way round. I have zero problem with muslims

Here's a report about false rape reports. They admit it is hard to get a precise number due to the way different studies and agencies define "false report"

I'm still looking for the one about comparing false rape accusations to other false accusations.
