It may well be against your religion if you have one.

The question is as follows :
Has anyone ever had the uncontrolled impulse to worship ... a fish ?

Have you ever had the intense urge to humble yourself by worshipping ... a fish ?

Have you ever felt an intense sense of empowerment after worshipping ... a fish ?

( or a sculpture/idol/representation of ... a fish, instead of an actual... fish ? )

Have you ever felt unconditional love for our scaly friends we call ... fish ?

Have you ever been tempted to indulge in the untimely, slow and unimaginably painful murder of a fishmonger to avenge our fishy friends ?

Have you ever campaigned against eating ... fish and promoted veganism ?

Have you ever felt an intense sense of guilt and dishonour after eating ... fish ?

Don't be mislead - some people although embarassed to admit it are strict, dignified ... fish worshippers.

Cut short ...

have you ever partaken either alone or with others in fish worship or felt the impulse to do so ?

yes
no

Tell everyone .

Yes. They're our link to our origin in the sea, especially the coelacanth. All hail the spiny-finned fish.

Oh yeah. Had an amazing piece of fish at a restaurant in Florence. Definitely wanted to worship it.

Enormous contentment as I digested it.

Naah, rubber fish don't have the same flavor, even with a good sauce.

Have you ever been tempted to indulge in the untimely, slow and unimaginably painful murder of a fishmonger to avenge our fishy friends ?

Course not. How could I get more fish dinners without the fishermen?

My wife was sitting across from me, having her own delicious fish dinner and feeling equally worshipful.

No no no no ... It doesn't need to be a specific variety of fish ... they just put an aquarium or fish idol on a pedestal , burn an incense made of fish flakes and belittle yourself infront of the 'mighty' fish.
You may recite the following as many times as you like :
Fish rule people drool. ( or a phrase to that effect.)

Zombiified

That picture is just ... GORGEOUS.

I linked it to the artists website, to pay the karma for the bandwidth. He has a lot of nice, funny stuff.

I might buy a "Data's In The Strata" T-shirt... I already have a fish-worship t-shirt actually...

The priest(esses) or ministers of fish worship could be called the CODFATHERS !!!

Your religion is a few decades out of date...

ALL HAIL THE LUNGFISH!

What exactly is out of date with fish worship ?
The heretic bjornart has elevated the coelacanth above the lungfish, which is (are) the One (Several) True Fish.

PRAISE THE LUNGFISH SOME MORE, FOR THEY ARE FISHY! AND HAVE LUNGS!

My place of worship. The Piscine Chapel:

I didn't expect this kind of spanish inquisition...

I worship this fish, held by the high priest of carp fishing and my (cough) godfather, Peter Thomas.

Fishing is NOT the same as fish worship, they better not have cooked that beautiful fish that Peter Thomas caught.

Dr Adequate
You can worship as many fish as you want - not just the one species - even things that look remotely fish like.
