So much for a safe environment where children can learn.

Elementary School Student Claims He Was Sexually Assaulted At School

SAN ANTONIO -- The San Antonio Police Department and the San Antonio Independent School District Police Department are investigating an alleged sexual assault at DeZavala Elementary School.

A first-grade boy told family members that on Jan. 12 he was in a bathroom when a man came underneath a stall and grabbed him by his arm, choked him and raped him. The boy couldn't scream for help because he was threatened by the man, an aunt of the boy told KSAT 12 News.

"(My nephew) said he didn't yell because the man was threatening that he was going to kill him," the aunt said. "He was afraid and all the time he was just thinking about getting away." The man then grabbed the boy by the neck and dragged him outside the school, the boy's aunt said.
When they were about 2 feet away from the man's car, the boy managed to kick the man and ran back into the school.

"If my nephew would not have kicked this guy he would have taken him with him," the boy's aunt said.

Since the day of the attack, the boy hasn't been the same, the boy's aunt said.

The solution doesn't sound much better, unless they do a complete background check on the restroom escorts:

"School officials said they've tightened security measures and sent a letter out to parents stating "that all children will now be accompanied by a buddy or a teacher when going to the restrooms."

Just another one of those misunderstood and unfairly-discriminated-against "minor-attracted adults" at work. Yeah, they're not a "genuine threat" to kids or anything...

:( :( :(

I guess it's still "alleged" ? Nobody saw a man drag a kid out of school? Nobody saw the man hanging around the school? Did the child need an excuse for being tardy yet again? All questions I'm sure the cops are asking.

For some reason I can't reach the link, but this sounds fishy to me too. I have a hard time believing that someone can drag a kid out of a school by his neck without anyone noticing. But then again, crazier things have happened, so I'll wait and see how this plays out.

Edited to add: If the boy really was raped, it should be a simple matter to find the rapist's DNA on him.

If there are signs of molestation... the cops would also be looking into if the assault happened somewhere else - like home...

Well, you know the explanation canvassed in the other thread: The unfortunate paedophile was victimized by the illegality of kiddie porn!

Well, schools are not the most secure enviroments, our school had doors that still needed locks, until we had a credible report of an intruder. An adult in the bathroom does sound unlikely but it is possible. Even though my school now locks all the doors, it is rather easy to get in unseen, except by the kids. They will unfortunately open the door to anyone. You would have to show some foresight to manuver around the school unseen by an adult. Or hide somewhere.

So, a big mean intruder sneaks into a restroom, does his dirty deed, drags the struggling kid out to his car, then, when the kid slips his grasp, can't catch a 6 year old? I guess he changed his mind about keeping him?

Do you think male-on-male pedophiliacs bring condoms everywhere they might feel inspired, just to prevent the leaving of evidence?

I wonder if we will ever get any followups on this story? "Poor child" is apparently national news, "Child has Vivid Imagination" is not.

You don't need to be unseen. You simply have to look like you belong there, like a janitor or something. Many school districts do not employ custodial or foodservice staff directly, but contract out to businesses that provide those services. Service jobs like that have a tendency to be "invisible" to teachers and administrators.

I pretty much agree. It could be true but, as told, it's far too fishy.

ETA: more to the point: I'm reminded of the Little Rascals Daycare witch hunt several years ago. I think, just with what I know so far, that this might well be something very much like that.
