Had to happen. To be honest, I thought about creating a spoof website last year some time.

Narang explained to Reuters: "Just as the world comprises of the five basic elements, each website has five elements and these need to be in balance with one another. Earth is the layout, fire is the colour, air is the HTML, space is name of the website, and water is the font and graphics."

I'm just looking through some ancient ancient texts to check up on his allocation of HTML to air and water to font an graphics. Anyone know what the chinese is for 'HTML'?

Can’t help you with the Chinese for ‘HTML’, but here’s another site that promotes ‘Internet Feng Shui’:

The Web contains far too many straight lines. Ch'i doesn't flow smoothly around these pages, and the user's response to their repetitive appearance makes them all the more stagnant… So break up the straight lines and add unusual and curvy design elements wherever you can… Ch'i thrives in harmonious and pleasant environments. Designing websites which merely look 'businesslike' will not give pleasure and a healthy circulation of ch'i.

Looks like that explains the British Society of Integrated Medicine’s online newsletter. They’ve obviously been trying to enhance the flow of Ch’i by selecting a particularly curvy water element:

How does feng shui's predilection for red as a positive, active color manage against Renee Rynn's red as a a sign of violence and negativity?

Celebrity color tag-team battle, anyone?
