Fcc Fu (why can't this be all caps?)

What makes your ass so tight?
Does the religious Right
Rule over you?

Just remember it was Tipper Gore who slapped your boyfriend's "Joe's Garage" CD with a fat, ugly 'PARENTAL ADVISORY' sticker.

Which caused sales to soar. And Frank laughed all the way to the bank.

Perhaps you could ask your high school music teacher to play some of it for you?

Maybe this should go into the new conspiracy theories forum?

It's amazing what effect "banning" music, literature or art has on its popularity. The same thing has happened to Catcher in the Rye, The Exorcist, The Da Vinci Code, The Last Temptation of Christ and to many numerous other examples to point out.

If I could just get the religious right to ban one of my paintings! ;)

I don't understand why "Catcher in the Rye" would've been banned. It would be like banning sawdust.

For those who weren't functioning in the 50's and 60's in the US, it was the use of "Frule8k". The first success in releasing an adult book without a major can of legal whuppbutt opening was Memoirs of Fanny Hill in '64 or so because it had no "dirty" words in it - but it quite clearly communicated it's meanings. Then (YAY) the floodgates opened. (That doesn't count Candy which was a special case).

Are we all so repressed
That one small glimpse of breast
Must be taboo?
One Janet Jackson boob
Botched up what’s on the tube
Bend over, we’re not using lube
FCC FU!
