Famed attorney Johnnie Cochran is dead

67? they didnt say what killed him. I always thought he was younger.

And whats the deal with this line from the story.

Simpson added that he knew Cochran long before he hired the African-American lawyer to lead his 'Dream Team' defense. "

Geez why not title the story "Black lawyer dies".
When OJ's jewish lawyer dies will they mention his race?

Cochran, who earned his reputation in the field of law by defending the underprivileged, especially victims of police abuse, died in his home in the Los Feliz section of Los Angeles of a brain tumor, the Los Angeles Times has reported. His family has been secretive of his illness, but neurologists have treated him for most of the past year.

Cochrane was actually fairly well-known as a civil rights lawyer before the Simpson fiasco.

also from CNN.com

"after his feeding tube was removed earlier today Johnnie Cochran passed away this afternoon. He was a modest man who didn't want to drag his death out over a couple of weeks unlike some media whores who shall remain nameless" said Simpson, while searching the 16th green for the scoundrels who murdered his wife back in 1994.

If you want to use the term 'media whores' in the same sentence with 'Simpson' and 'murder', I can think of several other names that need to be brought up long before Cochran's.

Does anyone know if he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior???

I really hope for the sake of his eternal soul that he did. If he didn't, well, that was his choice.

Can you go back to trolling the religion forum, we have enough idiots here already.

Not to speak ill of the deceased, but the Simpson trial was probably his low point in terms of his ability, but his high point in terms of his publicity. His best work was the work that was little known.

Death from a brain tumor is a fate I would not wish on anyone. The suffering associated with such a condition is agonizing, and his friends and family have my sympathy.

His body of work in civil rights was very well known in certain communities, even before O.J....

And he will be forever remembered......

For cashing in his name recognition to franchise his law practice to cites in 13 states. McLaw!

The Cochran franchises are malpractice, whiplash, and slip/fall joints.

I would suspect that anyone who is part of the community that wouldn't have to Google to know who Diop Kamau is , thinks of Cochran a little differently than those who only know him from TV.

:p

The one thing about death is that it is universal. We're all gonna die at some point. Mr Cochran's time has come and passed.

I won't post any silly lawyer jokes. My heart goes out to his family. If he suffered from an inoperable brain tumor, his suffering is now over.

Death is not a bad thing.

I heard that he was a CHRISTIAN!

Johnnie is so lucky, he's feeling the love of our wonderful Father in Heaven right now.

Salvation is such a beautiful thing. We have such a wonderful God. :)
