DeviantART is a site for artists and writers to post their works online. I had some respect for the value of their forums too until I came across this thread:

My response is under "~addboy". I know I'm going to get flamed to a crisp for it But what I'm wondering is, what my post justified? Or should I have just left them alone?

What a bunch of morons. It's so distressing that so many people suffer from Jesus Syndrome.

And, as you say, pretty evil that they believe that they have a talent, but don't use it to heal the sick. Could anything possibly be more selfish?

I took one look at the deviantART community forums, and didn't go back again - as far as I'm concerned, the community has a high quotent of absolute morons. Talented morons, but morons nonetheless.

"I can heal the sick by laying on hands"

You were absolutely right to challenge such lies and stupidity. You'll probably get flamed, but who cares? If even just one person sees your post and begins to think critically about silly claims, you will have done them a great service.

Indeed, if these people were real, we wouldn't need doctors. A hospital could just hire them to go from room to room laying on their hands. Many lives would be saved, and insurance rates would plummet! But does this happen? Noooooooo!

If this clown wants to prove himself, he could take the JREF Challenge, or he could just go down to his local hospital, stand outside the front door, and intercept people before they go in, and heal them. Why doesn't he? Because he's either a fraud or insane.

Stand up to stupidity whenever you have the opportunity.

And then she comes back basically saying she has kicked out of numerous hospitals trying to "touch heal" people.

I have tried walking into hospitals and doing this. People don't believe you and you sometimes get escorted out.

Yes I got into a blazing row with a man who said he was a faith healer on Saturday night. Firstly he claimed that he had a patient with a "fractured spine" whom he managed to get back to work "in three days". I said that someone with a fractured spine ought to be in hospital.

Then he said that he had seen a broken arm heal itself in front of him. I told him that that doesn't happen. And that he was irresponsible and unethical. And that he was abusing vulnerable people with promises of false hope.

I certainly felt better after saying all of that

Argh, going into hospitals? Hmm, should point her to a mental ward and tell her to cure those folks, maybe the staff will think she is there to check in. You know, they can sit her down and listen to her, and meanwhile ask "what's your name"...etc. until the form is filled out. Tell her to sign it, and voila, she voluntarily has her own room there to have other patients visit her in! He he he....
