There is one little problem that I can see, though - it's not the ideal position to be in for head tracking. Ideally you would want sideways movements of your head to change perspective, but that would mean having your face right up next to the screen.
Still, bloody awesome!
 
I agree. This is going to be massive.
Get ready for screens covering all four walls and ceiling, accompanied by a moving-in-all-directions treadmill (big ball set into the floor).

Could that not be solved by using an array and averaging head position, rather than relying on a single signal receiver? Current processing power is fast enough to handle that computation and pass it to any sort of game or system core.

Hm, possible, I suppose - effectively you would want to move the pivot point from the TV screen surface (where it visually sits at the moment), to the tip of your nose, wherever that is.

Problem I see here is that the range of traverse would be lessened. Think of looking out of a window when you're right up against the window as compared to looking out the same window from several feet back.

Solution( a la plumjam): HUGE screens!
