End Sylvia Browne Wednesdays

Thank you.
I have contacted approximately 50 people and given them this information. They will join the letter writing campaign. I gave them the link to your site so each week they will have access to the sponsors from the Wednesday show with Sylvia.

Great info, Vampire. I'll begin writing and ask others to do the same.

One problem: I believe that the sponsors differ in every market. For instance, here in Los Angeles, I believe that none of the sponsors listed on your site was on the show.

Lisa sent me those sponsors. They may indeed differ. If they do, then simply PM me with the sponsors viewed and the area. They will be listed also.

Lisa sent me those sponsors.

Poor Lisa! :lfault

Seriously, thanks. I'll write some and let's see if they have any impact. Even if not, we can all take some satisfaction that we've done something. Hat's off to you, RSL and EMM for leading the charge! :)

If Lisa sent them, they were in the LA version, I just didn't notice them while fast-forwarding. I recall the Nutri-Nail one, but not the others.

So, my mistake. Looks like Lisa gave you the national sponsors, which is what you need.

The national ads usually come at the break before the end of the show and also in the closed captioning.

I'll record the show on Wednesday and watch the tape carefully. Do let me know if the sponsors in the next article are different from what you saw.

It's right at 39 minutes in, after an ad for Fox 11. A voice over person says "Promotional consideration provided by the following" then the ads for Russel Stover and Nutri-Nails run.

Don't know much about media buying, but from what I understand, the media buyers at the sponsors ad agency purchase bulk airtime according to a set budget, and target specific demographics and markets. The airtime slots they buy are grouped according to US markets. So for example, the Levis TV spots might run January to February on Montel (and other shows) in A, B, C, and D markets because they wish to reach women 34-54 with an income of XXX. The Levis media buy for March-April might drop Montel and go with another show which the buyers feel delivers more target viewers. So it's rarely the same sponsors on Montel all year. However if enough complaints about the show reach a sponsor, they may chose to exclude it from further media buys. Which is why I think it's a great idea to complain, and complain loudly.

I just finished watching today's Montel show with Sylvia Browne. It was a new one as he was hawking her latest book, The Two Mary's to be released next week.

A couple of big announcements (according to Montel) were made.

1. SB has signed a contract with the Excalibur and will continue to "headline" in Vegas every month (not just occasionally as we'd heard). She was also given the Presidental Suite.

2. New on Montel beginning next Wednesday. SB's private reading room. She will take someone from the audience into her reading room for a private reading each Wednesday. (Wonder if the Montel show is paying the going rate for a private reading - last I knew it was over a thousand dollars to have a "face to face" rather than a phone reading.

Those two "new" revelations - along with her new lecture schedule for 2008 tells me (sadly) that RSL's website is having no affect on SB's style of living...if anything, she's now raking in even MORE money.

Neither do I. However, the criticism of Sylvia Browne on this site prompted me to watch her Wednesday appearances.

Did Montel say this as in addition to Jabba just sitting there answering audience question...or in lieu of?

I dunno....the fact she makes frequent mention suggests Randi, RSL, and others efforts have gotten her attention. She also now avoids press interviews (Anderson Cooper...even Larry King these days) like the plague...choosing safe venues to stalk her prey, such as lectures, Montel, Vegas show, etc.

They advertised today: Have you had an unusual experience and need Sylvia Browne's help? Call 1-800-MONTEL2

Dangit Miss! When I read this I thought it said "End OF", and I was so happy.... :( ;)
