Okay, I wanted to get the jump on things here. Let's list all the buzzwords, phrases, etc that we should all listen for Tuesday night in order that we may all maximize our level of inebriation and social ackwardness :p

I'll start...

Kill your drink if you hear "landslide" :D

Proceed.

You really want to maximize inebriation? How about "swing state" or "battleground state"?

Well, someone gave me a forty year old First Growth Bordeaux for my kid's birthday, and I don't want to guzzle it, so I'm going to pick some expressions that will be less frequently heard....

"Well, it looks like we were wrong...."

"So, Senator, did you ever think you'd see a darkie elected president?"

"Wow, that Palin's one dumb cow, isn't she, Wolf?"

"Well, it seems that Texas is going to be a nail-biter, so we're going to cut away now to Anne Coulter and Cindy McCain in a KY Jelly wrestling match. Winner takes on Katie Couric."

Listen, Foolmewunz, if I was your kid I'd be pissed. HE(she?) should be the benefactor of the hooch. And don't give me any guff about age...:)

Point well taken. So, just as soon as one of the commentators refers to the Republican veep candidate as "a dumb cow", I'll give him a sip. I figure a good vintage is a good vintage; so what if he's only 35 days old? The kid's gotta start somewhere.

The Art Bar in Milwaukee is giving a free shot for every state called blue tonight. I guess they are banking on long lines keeping the decision past closing time. Wow.

"veto proof majority"

Unless you have info on either House of Congress or the Presidency, I don't think we'll have a lot of use for that phrase this year. Sure... in 2004, 2000, and quite a few years back.... But this looks like the first cross-the-board win for some time. Having the White House, the Dems aren't going to be too worried about vetos.

My bad. I meant to say "filibuster proof majority". :shy:

how about i nthe morning?

"voting anomaly" "electronic voting machines"

one that usually comes up on UK election coverage.

"..if this trend were reflected across the whole country..."

closely followed by an impressively pointless graphic showing the full election results extrapolated from about 4 actual results and giving a ridiculous margin to one side.
