Not sure if anybody here knows Edzard Ernst, he is probably the only real professor for complementary medicine in the world.

He has retired recently and his applications for his job are currently accepted. The job description looks very promising: http://www.pcmd.ac.uk/jobs.php?id=502
BUT, in a recent interview Edzard Ernst answered:
The writers of that interview feel a bit worried and so do I. What do you think, will that chair be lost to skepticism? Will Peninsula Medical School choose a good candidate by themselves?
Can we encourage them somehow to choose a real scientist (of course, they might already do that, but were Edzard Ernst involved in the decision process I would feel more comfortable!)

Sadly, I was only involved in drafting the job description. Everything else is out of my hands. I offered my further assistance but the offer was so far not accepted.
