I just heard a trailer for a news item that will appear at the 7:30 slot on the above site, later today.
In the trailer, they said that a Professor of Education had brought out a book that gives teachers advice on how to handle Creationism in Science classes.
...but that's not the good bit...
The announcer went on to say that creationists believed the world to be up to 10,000 years old, unlike the 4,500,000 years accepted by science.
I've got to wonder how long a business correspondent would last if they didn't know the difference between a million and a billion.
I've also got to wonder how much the BBC is paying these uneducated announcers. I've heard of numbers close to a million pounds - and I wouldn't be surprised if the announcers actually think they're getting a thousand times as much - but can't bloomin' count it.
