Charming

http://www.haaretz.com/news/diploma...ief-says-mossad-behind-death-threats-1.316449

In an interview published on Thursday, Tamim told United Arab Emirates government-owned daily al-Ittihad he believed Mossad was behind two threats he had received, one in an e-mail and the other in a phone call to one of his relatives.

He said Dubai police had managed to track the email's source, but gave no more details. The e-mail said: "Protect your back if you are going to keep your tongue loose."

In the phone call, his relative was told to pass on a message for Tamim "to remain silent". The paper said the call was made by a "dual nationality Westerner, who was later confirmed to be a retired Mossad agent."

Israeli officials were not available for comment on Thursday due to the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah.

Nice leap to conclusions there. An ex-mossad agent may have done it so it must be that he was ordered to do it. I guess by that logic we know the Marines were really behind JFK's assissantion too.

If Dubai police are able to determine, after the fact, the (dual) nationality of an alleged caller, as well as his current and past employment status, it seems to me that Dubai citizens have much more pressing concerns than alleged death threats by alleged Mossad agents.

I wonder what the outcry would be, if it were revealed that the U.S. government had the same kind of power.

Also, why would the Mossad threaten anybody?

It's ass. Mossad don't send threats by email and telephone calls. Don't worry about it.

The denial is as thick as ever among the Usual Suspects, I see :p

Mossad probably didn't even do the hit, right? I mean, Israel has never confirmed it. Could have been anyone!

Trying to change the subject now?

Do Mossad agents, retired or otherwise, usually use their own home lines or personal phones and internet accounts that can be traced back to them to send death threats you think?

Well according to some, Israelis are particularly stupid.;)

Show me where the article said that the call was made from a home phone or a personal email? There's more ways to trace an emails source than looking at the POP3 it was sent from, you know?

Be buggered if I know, these Mossad agents blundered the hit pretty badly, who knows, maybe the guy wasn't the brightest spark in the world and they did trace him through the IP. Or then again, maybe not, who knows? I try not to just make up fantasy scenarios of the top of my head to fill in the blanks the way you do.

So now they're multiple Mossad agents? I thought the article spoke of only one retired agent?

Well, get back to us when you do know.
