Drudge: Bush intends to attack Iran before the end of his term

I don't think it will happen. One president starting 3 wars with 3 different countries in 8 years? Anyway I do think we actually have a better case for attacking Iran than Iraq. We know they are supplying weapons and training to people who are killing our troops. They won't back down on nuclear technology. They won't negotiate with the Europeans. An attack is warranted but it won't happen in Bush's time left unless there is some major attack that Iran is directly responsible for.

Personally, I loathe the very idea that a President can start a war.

Paul Crag Roberts predicted this last year. His indicator? More than one CVBG in the Persian Gulf.

It didn't happen.

Is Paul Craig Roberts a disinfo agent of the neocon cabal?

J Post Fear Mongering Drivel said:
The official reportedly went on to say that "the hesitancy of Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice" was preventing the administration from deciding to launch such an attack on the Islamic Republic for the time being.

Oh, FFS, they missed the talking point from a month or two ago:

Admiral Fallon is out as CENTCOM, the attacks on Iran will commence shortly.

Jesus wept.

Does anyone truly take Drudge as a serious source of news? He ahs been wrong, sometimes spectacularly, many times yet those instances are always conveniently forgotten. I have no idea why rational adults go to his site for "news".

Now, I am no big fan of Bush and consider him not the brightest President we have had but an attack on Iran would be incredibly stupid of him. I just don't think he is that stupid (nor are his advisors).

But don't worry, people will forget Drudge was wrong yet again and continue to visit his site to get the "news".

Drudge isn't about news, Drudge is about the success of his website.

I hope George Bush stops Raúl Castro. Ahmadinejad is not that important. Cuba should change and Castro brothers should not have power.

And Myanmar... don't forget the Junta! And North Korea's dangerous, too! Ooh, and Venezuela. How could I forget Venezuela? Zimbabwe... There's a good cause. And I never really liked Guernsey. I mean who names an island after a cow? Might as well take them out, too?

While we're at it, I don't like my county commissioners. Think W could help me out with a regime change?

Are you sure you want him handling that? His track record on regime change being of benefit to the citizens under the regime isn't all that great. Do I want to read about car bombings in your county?

No.

Won't someone think of the goats?

Unfortunately, some people do. Wish he would get caught in something that would eliminate him from the net and close it for anyone like him. I like my news real, carefully vetted, completely accurate. And I would like my news on politics extremely concise with no punditry unless by a person who has been on the political beat for at least 15 years - and has never been wrong.:)

He didn't start the war in Afghanistan. Terrorists in Afghanistan did, and he told Afghanistan to "give up Osama and his henchmen, or suffer their fate you will"

They declined. The rest is history "interesting times", as the Chinese curse goes..
