If you've been to TAM, you know that there's an 80's band that plays in the lounge every Saturday night. I wanted to go to this last year but I didn't for some reason that I don't remember.

Would anyone be interested in this?

Interesting thread as I'm leaving today. Yes I said it... I'm "Leaving Las Vegas".

:D

The Sat. band (Spazmatics) is weird but funny. I saw them at Thunder Valley near Sacramento last December.

The Friday band however, I think are pretty damned incredible. They just started a regular Sat gig at the Texas Station here in North LV and I've caught them three times...

Yellow Brick Road

The name comes from them starting in the '90s as an Elton tribute act. No more Elton but an incredible variety of covers, almost all... pitch perfect.

Crazylegsmurphy thinks this is a stupid idea.

I'm down for whatever is going on. Not sure what the agenda is though, so I'll be foolishly stumbling from place to place being social. I know that Crazylegsmurphy will think this is a stupid idea.

I go with the flow but for an 80's band I would want to dress the part, skinny leather tie and cheesy preppy shirt and slax!

I really want this to become a new forum meme... but I'm sure CLM would think that's a stupid idea.

So if an event is "CLM Approved!" does that mean fewer than 5 people showed up and no one talked to each other?

But I didn't think any event would get the CLM stamp of approval, as all options were rejected, and I was called a big meanie for suggesting that...

We had an awesome time last year at the Spazmatics. They're cheesier than all the fondue in the 70's, but their 80's music is fun and a few cocktails will help suspend disbelief. We filled two tables last year, so a roll call and reservation might be necessary.

Me and Ben rocking to the 80's at TAM 9

I'll go to this, but you have to promise not to laugh at how seriously I take it.

Prince and New Order are not to be taken lightly. Serious. They are serious business.
