Dog mutilation

How about a short, preferably not too graphic, description for those of us not real kin on click on a link that merited a warning?

A dog was found with some unusual mutilations. Small holes, a piece of spine removed with clean cuts etc.

Some people, of course, believe it to be the work of aliens.

And yes, the pictures are nasty.

Sounds more like some a-hole teen. Or a serial killer in the making.

Ah mutilation ... such a fascinating topic.

I know of a dog who was mutilated.

My sister's ex-boyfriend's little cousin had a pet dog. When they moved house their new neighbours asked them if they could walk the dog. They let the 2 complete strangers walk the dog.

They tied the dog to a fence in the local park and set it's furry tail on fire, the flames spread to engulf it's whole body. It died of burns.

I hear someone tied fireworks to a tramp who was sleeping on a park bench and he was blown to kingdom come. This second story may or may not be true.

This doesn't really qualify as mutilation does it ?

I know 2 men who tried to cut a woman's toes off. They were unsuccessful - they had lured her to their house but she escaped after the first cut.

Those pictures were minging I think I might spu.

Remind me why I haven't put Jambo on ignore yet?
Because it's rare to have such a pure, unadulterated troll. It must take a lot of effort to troll with every single post.

Paj,your wit brightens this forum.I was going to quote jambo but found the whole post just worthless.Once I read the first line ,I looked across to the user ID and stopped. ;)

ETA Damn curiosity. Those pics are really, really nasty.Best if no-one looks....:(

Sorry, I didn't realised it could be disturbing for some people...

I just find it an interresting case. I also tought of a serial killer in the making.

I heard a story once... about a guy in Scotland. Something about him having a large nose... so large that every Nov 5th people would tie fireworks to it. The fire would spread to the rest of him, setting his pants on fire. He was also hanging from a telephone wire, although that second part might not be true.

Occasionally, local officials in some part of the country will become alarmed at the prevalence of cat mutilations. The story always sounds similar to this one - neat cuts, bodies found in fields near the home it disappeared from, lack of blood, what kind of sickos would do this?

In a couple of cases, cooler heads have prevailed, and they've figured out that it was simply coyotes after all.

I've read these articles in my paper (and sent letters to the writer) about how it takes an especially sick kind of person to abduct a cat, take it back to the sicko's workshop to be mutilated, then brought back, near the area where it was abducted, and dropped in a field. They just overlook the obvious, that a coyote grabbed it and ran to a field for privacy to have its dinner, and that cuts on bodies can be surprising.

Well, aside from the ubiquitous coyote, Cougars live in at least the south-western part of Arkansas and are thought to live throughout most of the rest of the state (they're pretty good at not being seen).

As you can see, they have pretty good sized carnasials (which I would suspect are capable of a fairly clean cut), and I have no question in my mind that one might go after a puppy.

The wound to the neck isn't quite what one expects from puma, however.

The guy says it happened in his hay field. The grass looks relatively short for a hay field, so it was probably recently mowed. I'd lean towards farm equipment doing this.

I have to say that as an explanation, aliens would come quite a long way down the list.

I would sooner believe the loch ness monster did it.

I love these anal probing, crop destroying, dog and cattle mutilating aliens.

I can't imagine what they would be getting out of all of this.

Larry the Cable Guy does a funny skit on this titled, "Aliens have got a Thing for Redneck Fellers"..it is pretty funny.

I like the Simpsons episode where Homer is abducted by aliens.

Homer: "Oh, time for my anal probe?"
Alien: "No, we have reached the limits of what anal probing can tell us."

Homer: *gargle* "What are you spraying me with?!"
Kang: "Rum! So nobody will believe you!"

Apparently Kang and Kodos weren't aware of the human adage, "A dead man tells no tales." They could have dumped him in the vacuum of space and hand plenty of rum left over. ;)

Even she occasionally gets tired of her trolling.
