It seems that many people (in the UK at least) have been paying hundreds of pounds for useless IVF treatment:

This must be a heartless scam on the level of Sylvia Browne; nonetheless we get:

But Paul Robin chairman the Acupuncture Society, said: "I'm really surprised by these findings. "I've been treating people for twenty years and in my experience treatment does seem to improve their chances of becoming pregnant.
"This study has shown that there's no proof that acupuncture can help - so that suggests that there should be lots more studies to examine the question.
"I'm convinced it can help."
Surely 'Mr' Robin should be suspected of fraud.

Sorry, didn't notice the other thread!

Please ignore or delete, whatever.

He has been treating people for 20 years and he has no studies showing it works? Knows of no research he can cite? Wow!
