Doctor Who or US rubbishy Sci Fi

Doctor Who is a tad different than the old series (incidental music requires a bit of tweaking to sound less....well, stupid) but it definitely has legs. Galactica I should get addicted to but haven't found the time.

I'm interested to see this new iteration of the good Doctor. I have a Brit BBS I visit occasionally, and reviews were somewhat mixed, as I recall.

We were originally exposed to Dr. Who back in the 70s when Monty Python was a big hit on PBS, and they were looking for other things BBC to show. We got the Tom Baker episodes first, and loved 'em. We were surprised to learn from a Brit aquaintance that the series had been on for years, and Baker was the fourth "Doctor".

BTW- I agree, Galactica is very good indeed.

US rubbishy Sci Fi

Poisoning the well, anyone?

Sure, Dr.Who is good, in a cheesy sort of way, but there's no way it beats Babylon 5.

Doctor Who is good for cheesy Sci Fi comedy.

Galactica is the best scifi show ever.
