Which protestor has a better gripe?

This guy?

Or this guy?

Just for the record, I'm not so sure the 2nd guy is an OWS protestor more than he is just a passer-by who got pissed at the cops being typically unprofessional.

I will add that the 2nd guy shares my sentiment about law enforcement and how officers now have legal authority to arm themselves agains their own citizens even if the citizens are unarmed. If you want to become a police officer for the purpose of fighting, then you should sign up for the military and fight in Afghanistan or Iraq, not against your own citizens.

The first guy is just nuts.

I believe that both movements are well-intentioned and have legitimate gripes. This view seems to be controversial.

I'm still trying to figure out what their gripes are.

Near as I can tell, the 'baggers want no taxes (not lower taxes, no taxes), and the 'tards want everyone who isn't them to pay more taxes.

Ummmmm, because there's a comparison to be made here... any thoughts?

You're trying to make a comparison between two groups, and you're not even sure one of your examples is part of one of the two groups.

My thoughts?

I think you should have put more work into this thread before starting it.

At least he exposed dc1971's huge blind spot. You saw how he reacted to "tards" but not "baggers"?

Seeing that those within the tea party came up with the "teabagging" phraseology...

...until their simple minds figured out what it meant.

I have yet to see Occupy protestors call themselves occutards!

They should have, if they were being honest with themselves.

The teatards are more likely to turn violent. That Nicaraugan refugee/US veteran was probably part of the old regime and had to go before the Sandinistas got him. Would have been better if they had. He is a sick and dnagerous person.

Why do self-described skeptics have such a powerful antagonism towards public protesting? Is this normal behavior?

We (or at least I) don't have antagonism towards public protesting. I also don't have antagonism against teabaggers or occutards. Mockery would be the more accurate description.

More violence comes from the Tards.
