Hi, I was wondering if anyone here looks at www.debka.com?

[DEBKAfile is a self-supporting Internet publication devoted to independent, investigative reporting and forward analysis in the fields of international terrorism, intelligence, international conflict, Islam, military affairs, security and politics.]

Is this a good site for reliable info?

Thanks

Looks to me like it uses rather emotive language in its reporting. A news agency that does that is not something I take seriously. Also ads for miracle fitness programs or dating services does not add to any appearance of credibility.

I notice that most of the ads are for Jewish causes. Not a bad thing, it just rather obviously shows their colours.

I'd say use it if the language effectively manipulates you to feel good, but especially with issues concerning Israel-Palestine, cross check with more mainstream sources or ones that are biased in the opposite way.

No, it is not. But it can be fun.

Basically, they are an organization that tries to scoop other news sources by basing their stories on hearsay, rumors, overheard conversations, and manufactured anecdotes from various government and military individuals. Once in a while they get something really good. Often the stuff does not pan out. Supposedly the best stuff is reserved for their paying customers, and some very important people around the world are said to be on that list.

There are plenty of articles written about debka. Try this:
