Trena was there when the shootings started. She got out okay.

But I've never been this close to a gun crime. It took about an hour to sink in that it could have been Trena hurt, and what I'd feel like.

Very weird feeling. Not getting much done at work either. :boggled:
 
You know it's going to be a bad day when your office mate greets you with "There's been a shooting at Dawson".
 
And it starts. A caller on the radio started bitching about how the school is not secure if someone can just walk in with a gun.

Where does this come from? Blaming lack of security instead of the gunmen? We couldn't do anything if everything were truly secure. Being emotionally close to an event doesn't cloud my ability to evaluate the situation. It's a school. What they gonna do, put in scanners and security personnel at every entrance?!?

I had this edit window open a while. Thanks for the thoughts guys.
 
I blame Canadian society, too violent. At least that's what I learned from that Michael Moore movie.
