The Darwin exhibit now at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City is being extended through August due to "overwhelming public response". In its first three months the exhibit has attracted 200,000 visitors.

At TAM4 one of the speakers mentioned that this exhibit had no major corporate sponsor. (I forgot which speaker mentioned it). It is encouraging that the public has found and embraced this exhibit without the media bliztz that takes place around exhibits with corporate sponsorship.

It would be nice if a media outlet or two actually went and reviewed this event the way they all like to cover stories about Intelligent Design.

Overwhelming public response, indeed. I'm a member of the AMNH and have tried to go to the bloody thing several times (on weekends), only to find it already sold out.
