I zipped through the mp3 of hang em high's interview of Balsamo last night. Listening to Balsamo whine for 30 minutes about how nobody will debate him is pretty boring, so I probably missed most of it, but this part did catch my attention:

Barrett: Speaking of breaking stuff, I understand you actually have some new information you were unable to pull together completely to bring on tonight's show, but you could talk a little bit about it.

Balsamo: Yeah, well right now.... we had an article that I wrote back in March, based on topography and obstacles at the Pentagon, seeing if this aircraft could... a 757 could actually pull a maneuver level out as seen in those dod 5 frame videos where you see an object across the lawn. To see if it could actually pull out of that dive based on g-load. And (sigh) it is my fault, I screwed up the math, I don't want to make excuses, but I rushed it too much, so of course these internet debunkers jumped all over it. They smelled blood and they went for it. Which is good, I mean they do serve their purpose in that respect. Sometimes, because they do keep us on the straight and narrow pretty much, but most of it is all mixed in with ad homs and noise.

Damn you and your... your... math!

It is 25 minutes into the first hour. Almost worth listening for just for the disappointment in his voice.

We keep people like Mr. Balsamo on the "straight and narrow," huh? If so, we're apparently doing a terrible job at it.

Sometimes, because they do keep us on the straight and narrow

Straight and narrow?

If that were true then Robby would have posted a page with the corrected math OR a retraction stating that indeed the flightpath postulated could be flown as easily as the math done in this forum shows it can.

Nah, honesty is not one of Robby's strong points, especially if it it pitted against his ego.

And Balsamo (who lies about his aviation history and experience and pretends to have expertise that he does not possess) still hasn't managed to correct his math after it was proven wrong here a couple of months ago - because he can't and because he knows that reality will not conform to his misguided fantasies despite his fervent desire that it were so.

The guy is completely delusional.

*evil grin*
Ryan Mackey showing point-for-point why they were wrong wasn't exactly "keeping them on the straight and narrow." It was more like pointing out that the train had wrecked, mostly because they were driving that train where there are no tracks.
(but it is still great entertainment watching the court jesters make fools of themselves):p

Heh, the second hour actually gets better, with Steven Jones, amid all of his bragging about his paper, and how nobody at JREF can say anything against it.

http://mp3.wtprn.com/Barrett/0805/20080527_Tue_Barrett2.mp3

Jones: There is more to this movement, than just 9/11 truth. The peace movement, if we could continue to work with people in the peace movement. I know Jim has tried to reach out, and I believe you have as well, to activists interested in the peace movement. And so I, in particular research... I'd loved to do... research for hard physical evidence one way or another on various questions and uh, Sofia got me looking at chemtrails for example. And I'm not ready to talk about that too much, I have actually made some observations. I have not (unintelligible) what's in those trails, but some of those do certainly last longer than others. And that's... I could go into that a little bit, but I think that that's a valid area and it's not 9/11 but it is truth. It still gets back to this question of what's happening in our society, and who is doing it to us. I guess I could put it that way, the question keeps coming up.

Barrett: It sure does, and in both cases 9/11 and possibly chemtrails it would appear that aspects of the military industrial complex and the national security state have seized control of our government.

chemtrail = nuts = jones = barrett = 9/11 truth (the entire movement is forged from insane ideas of a few nuts) fetzer went nuts with wood, jones went nuts with barrett…

when you make up thermite 4 years after 9/11, what difference does adding chemtrails make…

a physicist talks about "chemtrails" (contrails), some persist longer than others - should have asked a weatherman or a pilot… (what a dolt)

There goes the Happy Dale wagon; now totally filled up with pure loony tune 9/11 truth membership elite.

9/11 truth membership; there will be no Pulitzer Prize for 9/11 truth; but a damn good reporter could tie all of 9/11 truth movement into a very sad story of failure. Who is up to the task. Who can stand the stupid statements of 9/11 truth to tell a story of failure; 9/11 truth.

I still think Rove put them up to it to create a strawman which he could label "liberal" to justify keeping the current leadership in place in the government. Now they are going to infiltrate the anti-war movement.

Good luck trying to turn actual intellectuals as easily as they could dumb schlubs on the street.

Translation:
Train Conductor- "This train has reached the end of the line. Please exit!"
* zombie dance* to the next "all aboard"! Watch the other movements run!

I can just see it. An anti-war speaker gets up to address the weaknesses of Bush's military strategies and the abuse of the veterans when they get wounded, and some fool wants to turn the discussion to Jones' paint chips, because the twoofer know that it is really supposed to be all about THEM?

Isn't this one of the hall marks of paranoia?

What the hell does the peace movement have to do with chemtrails?

The loons crave exposure, and since most of the world ignores their insanity, they will hop aboard any bus, or movement, that will give them a platform to spew their garbage.

TAM:)

I guess the chemtrail thing is always there when the 9/11 thing plays out. The chemtrail crowd is well established, ready and willing to listen to what they want to hear, and will pay money for the privilege. Expect experiments in which Jones goes out after a chemtrail finally disperses, collects samples of vegetation, and discovers traces of pesticides.

(unitelligible) and chemtrails go together like cheese and toast.

are we going to be witnessing a thermite-chemtrail-noplane crossover in the future, if so I'll provide the beer if others brings Chilli and Nachos (we can skip the Nitrous and the Ether the giggles will come naturally)

oh dear...another tricky one for the 'truthers'.....

Dr Jones - Disinfo or mental illness?

Jones should get together with Cliff Carnicom to explore chemtrails. Now there is an experimental program that I would pay money to see.

Wow, two birthdays on this day. May 29 must be a busy day each year.
