Food sold in recycled cardboard packaging 'poses risk'

Ben Goldacre said of the Daily Mail that its mission was to divide everything in the universe into two groups. That is things that cause cancer (immigration, Gordon Brown and MMR) and things that cure cancer (David Cameron, The Falklands and Hitler).

Isn't the ink used to print newspapers toxic or something?

There was a site that used to list all the things reported in the DM which cause it. Can't recall the link unfortunately.

There was a blog that started out doing this and it lasted about three days. It still had ten entries from the Mail though.

Never mind the milk, the cereal box also gives you cancer!

This forum seems riddled with cancer threads but here is one more.

After the milk=cancer thread we have a report claiming the recycled cereal boxes leak cancerous mineral oils into the cereal.

''We calculated that before the end of their shelf life, they would probably exceed the limit 50 times on average and many would exceed it by several hundred times.''

It's a wonder that anybody makes it past breakfast!

Meh. Everything causes cancer, apparently. Just do what you want.

So what is doing me the most harm:
the "information" in the newspaper, or
the toxic ink which conveys it, passing onto my hands, or
the cornflakes I eat while reading it?

Maybe I should just skip breakfast altogether.
