According to Danish news agency Ritzau, the Cypriot authorities has decided to release three British soldiers after serving 12 years of a 25 year sentence. In 1994 24-year old Louise Jensen was a tourist guide in Cyprus. One night in September she was riding a motorbike with her Cypriot boyfriend, when the three drunken soldiers purposely rammed the motorbike with their jeep near a service station. Subsequently they knocked down her boyfriend and forced Louise in to their vehicle, drove her to a remote area, beat and raped her, and finally hacked her to death with a spade!
Apparently their only excuse was that "they wanted a woman".
Justin Fowler, Geoff Pernell and Allan Ford from The Royal Greenjackets were originally sentenced to life imprisonment. This was later reduced to 25 years, and now they are apparently free to go because of good behaviour.
It makes me puke, cry and want to kick somebody!
