Creationism now hates moonlight

Yes it seems there is a new (to me) brand of creationism that doesn't believe the Moon reflects sunlight.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/09/...ng-about-moonlight-because-beethoven-said-so/

It all started when Bill Nye gave a speech in Texas where he talked about reflected sunlight off the Moon and the audience booed him. So he brings this up again and good old (atheists hate bananas) Ray Comfort comes up with this:
“He mocks that, and yet you take out what moonlight is in the dictionary, and it says it’s the light of the moon,” Comfort said.
But, oddly, he then seemed to make a concession on this:
“The moon has light, it reflects the sun, (and) “Moonlight Sonata,” just lots of beautiful songs, the moon does.”
Your guess is as good as mine on what he is on about with that bit about the song.

Then he goes on:
“Nothing annoys me except when Darwinian evolutionist believers hide behind the skirts of science, genuine science, and talk about science,” Comfort said.
Riiiiight.

So, what is this all about? Why would Bill Nye get booed about that in the first place?

Genesis 1:16?

And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

A light isn't the same thing as a reflector; and the only distinction between the two lights God made is their respective size. This suggests strongly that if God hadn't made the sun, the moon would still be shining.

Ray Comfort.
What an amazing mind!

Anyway, let's listen to the evidence

But, uh, Moonlight Sonata was a later name given by a critic. The original name was "Sonata as if in a fantasy" or something like that.

Bill Nye is just what we need to combat the science deniers...maybe a few hundred more like him. Check out the video with him and Bill Maher.

“Bill Nye still doesn’t understand the difference between historical science and observational science -- so he may be known as ‘Bill Nye the science guy’ -- but he doesn’t understand science correctly,” Ken Ham wrote on Facebook. "[Bill Maher and Nye] don't want the truth -- they continue to 'suppress the truth' as the Bible states in Romans 1 about such people in rebellion against God."

Why would Bill Nye get booed about that in the first place?

Because he believes that science is a marvelous, fascinating, and accurate way to learn about the world and to understand how the world works.

Because he believes that science can be accessible to nearly all who want to learn about it.

Because he believes that American schools need to teach science at all grade levels if America wants to continue to be a player in the international world.

Because he is willing to frequently and publicly state that Creation Science is not science at all and should never, ever be taught in science class.

Because he believes that there is overwhelming evidence that the universe is 14 billion-ish years old.

If you would like, I could list several more reasons why anything Bill Nye says is likely to get booed by YEC.
