Going against self-grain, here are a few conservative types whom I grudgingly like and/or respect on one level or another:

Chuck Hagel, gop senator Nebraska - willing to speak against administration

Bob Novak, CNN commentator - calls it like he sees it (as scary as that is)

Henry Hyde, gop congressman, Illinois - passionate abortion foe (a stance I disagree with but respect)

Blond pouty pundit, forget her name - carnal reasons

Pat Buchanan has had some columns recently I couldn't disagree with.
At least he admitted he was appalled that people who obviously didn't intend to vote for him had their votes stolen in Fla.
And when he gets into BS he has an obvious grin on his face.
He also called GWB illegitimate on McLaughlin recently.
And has criticized neo-cons for their anti-con position of international intervention.
