I shall be everso happy if that is true. She will someday be the pres.

Plus, I dig her in a nasty way.

Sure, she's not much to look at but to listen to her speak....oh my...what pleasure.

Maybe Bush will listen to her more.

Stephen Hadley, deputy national security adviser, would become Bush’s new national security adviser, the official said.

The other members of Bush’s 15-member Bush Cabinet whose departures were announced Monday were Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman, Education Secretary Rod Paige and Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham.

There used to be a caste of augurs known as Kremlin-watchers, once courted, now sadly thrown on the scrap-heap. The new hot business is White-House-watching. And they don't even have to wait for a Supreme Court appointment before hitting our screens.

You gotta fight me first...

Agreed; she has the goods to be president someday.

'kremlin watchers' Those were the days....
Yeah, this IS getting to be a pastime. Funny thing is, I think Powell's given lots of really good advice over the past four years but its been pretty much ignored.

I don't see the State Dept changing much at all in what we do.

Condi vs Clinton, sheesh I'd stay up late to watch those debates...

If she did win, it'd be rather fitting for her to have the position after having a Chevron oil tanker named after her.

Wow. Awe inspiring. It's like the passing of the torch from one token black Republican to another token black Republican. But who will be the next token black Republican? Only time will tell. ;)

If you think she's a token black, you need to read her bio a little more carefully. Extraordinarily accomplished woman. Do you think you could hold up your end at the piano in a concert with classical cellist Yo-Yo Ma?

News flash: When two black people are running America's foreign policy offices, it ain't tokenism any more.

Don't get me wrong. I'm very impressed by CR. I hope she runs for president against Hillary and kicks her ass. If she does, she has my vote. I'm just a bit put-off by the media spot-light, as if this is some kind of freak show. Has the media made a big deal about who is replacing the other cabinet members?

How is ignoring terrorism warnings from the CIA pre-9/11 an accomplishment?

My Russian History prof studied with her many years ago (at Stanford I think he said). I recall him saying she was rather bright.
