Columbine: a conspiracy?

Apparently that's been on what "really" happened for some time, but I got wind of it the other day from a posting on a social site by a really really really paranoid nutter who used it to justify that it was cops and black ops. It's 101 random witness statements from the chaos that unfolded at Columbine High School that mention either more than two assailants and/or finger someone other than Harris and Klebold for the shootings. (Because, as we all know, witness recollections from the heat of the moment render all other forms of evidence useless and/or fabricated.) All of this was supposedly done to garner public support for stricter gun control laws. WRH even tosses in the "84% reject the official 9/11 story" chestnut at the end.

Wow. It's just hard for me to believe that there are people stuck that deep in woo to where everything that's ever happened is a conspiracy.

A more likely explanation is that they were using mutual hearsay to reconstruct their own recollections.

Or it could be that the kids testimonies had been misrepresented, modified, or outright fabricated for that article.

The guy who runs that site is more known as a nazi-sympathizer than for telling the truth.

No.

Even when actually REAL conspiracies are discovered and publicly shown to have been conspiracies (e.g. Watergate, Enron, etc), it must be assumed that the VERY REVELATION of those conspiracies only serves to advance the goals of other, far more sinister conspiracies.
