I realize that picking apart John Edward is like hunting dairy cows with ..................... oh, never mind.
Anyway, I was channel surfing last week and watched his show for a few minutes. He was addressing a family, and talking in particular to a father. First, JE made the stab that the father had come to the taping reluctantly, and got a hit. A minute later, JE told the father something along the line that he (the father) had been sitting in the audience thinking about an earlier "reading" and wondering what he was doing there.
Certainly not a strange assumption, judging by the previous hit. But what struck me was this: JE's "hit" about what the man was thinking had NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH CROSSING OVER, BUT WAS MERELY AN UNCONCIOUS ATTEMPT TO PROVE HE HAD SPECIAL MENTAL POWERS. And it appeared that the audience and the man were mildly amazed & accepting that JE was showing evidence of his special powers. This was a revelation to me (no pun intended): that JE got into his act of cold reading so much that he just naturally carried it beyond what his paranormal power is supposed to be.
Has anyone else (who watches JE more often than I do) noticed JE do this? I thought if anyone were paying attention, that it really put the lie to what JE does, i.e. take a bit of info and build on it.

. But I thought JE always identified a spirit communicator? Hmmm guess not.
