Is there anyone watching the CNN Democrat Presidential Debate which is on now?

No. Frankly I think your system is broken and even a woman or black man won't bring an end to the corruption and war mongering.

So who is your candidate?

I'm Canadian, so it's really none of my business, but I think Obama looks like a nice guy, and it would be awesome if he was president: it would be a huge boost of confidence for all African Americans, given the history of your country.

The problem here in America is Blacks are not very successful in running things. Look at all the Black mayors and elected officials that have charges of corruption against them.

It always turns out to be an "Amos and Andy" administration.

I doubt that very much. Race has nothing to do with corruption or incompetence.

Your right, the next president should be a White man.

Why is it that people who feel that their race is superior to all others are usually less than superior examples of their race?

How does it make you feel to know that Obama can spell better than you?

Damn, even after reading about it in the political primary thread I still missed it.

I only have a year left to decide who to give my vote!

The "system is broken"? Really?

On what basis do you make this claim? While you are getting that ready let me give you some counter evidence.

The Human Development Index (HDI) is a comparative measure of life expectancy, literacy, education, and standard of living for countries worldwide. It is a standard means of measuring well-being, especially child welfare. It is used to determine and indicate whether a country is a developed, developing, or underdeveloped country and also to measure the impact of economic policies on quality of life.[1] The index was developed in 1990 by Indian Nobel prize winner Amartya Sen, Pakistani economist Mahbub ul Haq, with help from Gustav Ranis of Yale University and Lord Meghnad Desai of the London School of Economics and has been used since then by the United Nations Development Programme in its annual Human Development Report.
That is objective data. So, how does America stack up? 8th.

Now, we have a large influx of poor migrant workers but we are still 8th in standard of living, life expectancy, literacy, education, child welfare, etc.

There are no coups. No military takeovers. Life goes on as well the day before an election as the day after.

The economy is stable.
Unemployement is relatively low.
Inflation is relatively low.
We are pioneering medicine and pharmacuticals.
We are making advances in sicence, technology and philosophy.

Most importantly: American citizens put Democrats in charge of congress in the last election.

Now, we have problems. No question about it. Some serious. I'll grant you that. But by what measure do you say that our system is "broken"?

I need to read my own sig more often.

I don't think the system is unfixable...it just needs a good man to lead the country.

;)

I note the smilie.

I'll gladly take the person most capable of doing the job, male or female, black or white or whatever.

Hello! Where can I watch this? Or will some politically minded person put this up on youtube with... daresay it... not a music video to go alongside it?

I should have said good black-man.

But hey, I'm not picking sides!

:D
