A megachurch in Georgia got a major whammie from a sex scandal:

DECATUR, Ga. - The 80-year-old leader of a suburban Atlanta megachurch is at the center of a sex scandal of biblical dimensions: He slept with his brother's wife and fathered a child by her.

And it isn't the only affair:
The archbishop, his brother and the church are being sued by former church employee Mona Brewer, who says Earl Paulk manipulated her into an affair from 1989 to 2003 by telling her it was her only path to salvation.

But the members have learned something from all of this:
Jan Royston, who left the church in 1992, started an online support group for former members to discuss their crushed faith and hurt feelings.

"This is a cult. And you escape from a cult," she said. "We all escaped."

This is one of the worst scandals I can remember hearing about. I hope it gets plenty of press.

I think it is funny that I saw "Church Sex Scandel" and immediately wondered "Which one?"

Meh, I have a dark sense of humor.

Why have I not been able to find any chicks willing to fall for this line?

I could have sworn I heard about this years ago. Or maybe these scandals are just getting so frequent it's becoming difficult to keep them separate.

This is a crime? :eye-poppi

I thought it was compulsory if you had your own church.

I suppose, as church scandals go, that's better than doing meth and getting bonked by a male hooker? ;)

I'm positively sure, "He will be forgiven". After all, if you had given ten percent of your $$$ to some snake oil salesman, you don't wanna think you just wasted $20,000, so logic says, "Forgive".

Not quite compulsory - yours might be more in the stealing of old folks retirement/investment accounts to "fix the old steeple". Depends on your grift.:)
