okay so what do you think of my new cartoon ?

I know I know, it uses the same old liberal bs of sticking faces onto star wars/lord of the rings characters, but you've got to admit that these characters are much more appropriate...

chomsky IS the worm guy.....the scene where he calls the soldiers war mongerers is perfect to demonstrate that....

carville is SO the unreliable guide for the dems that will stab anyone in back.

and hillary is SO the evil wizard hiding up in her tower letting all the goons do the work.

The photoshop job could use some work though.
 
I agree with Tony that your Photoshop technique could use a little work but I disagree with him on it being funny. The only thing remotely funny about it is the lack of imagination involved. At least you partially cop to that by saying that it's the same old trick.

The title is particularly sophomoric and is guaranteed to elicit snickers from 13 year old boys. However, since most 13 year olds won't know the principals depicted, I fear that the effect would be mostly lost on them, as well.

see whereas you try and prove you're intellligent by calling it lowbrow, I take that as a compliment.

I think its funny and you'd only not find it funny if you didnt agree with the politics of it...........sort of like me watching the daily show.

Not trying to prove I'm intelligent. You asked what we thought. I told you what I thought. Apparently, you only wanted to know what I thought, if what I thought was what you wanted me to think, namely that your cartoon was gut-bustingly funny at the expense of those evil, commie, fag-loving liberals.

If I had said that it was, we would have all clapped each other on the back a bit, told some off-color jokes with plenty of accompanying macho laughter at our own cleverness and then scheduled some time at the shooting range to test out our new guns.

Now what I said there was funny:) At least to me!

I just could not control myself Nie...that is without a doubt the funniest thing I have ever seen on the internet. And don't listen to those philistines about your photoshop technique. I got the point you were making about these people being founded on basically defective techniques even if it went straight over thier head... But I don't get the vulva bit? whats a vulva?

Well, my problem is that it was hard to tell who the characters were.

Carville was OK.

Considering Wormtongue's complexion problems, it seems odd that the Chomsky caricature doesn't even look as worn and decrepit as Chomsky does in real life.

Saruman, on the other hand, bears a striking resemblance to Michael Jackson.

Epepke, you're a better man than I am. I like to think of myself as being one to hold himself above such things, but I faced the same temptation you did, and I chose the low road.

It's a nice picture, the fact that I can't recognise Hillary causes it to loose it's effect. But making the unblinking eye a vulva, very funny!

Just to put in an aside to a moribund thread, Peter Jackson said that they made Sauron's eye look like a cat's eye because there isn't anything scarier than a cat's eye.

Guy obviously hasn't seen a goat's eye up close. Goats are friendly and all, but boy are their eyes creepy.
