For the most part, Jacques behaved himself. But at one point he lost it and just couldn't keep his hands off George's tush.

George is just so sexy! Oh, such a tush!

After all the French bashing by Americans, after the Freedom Fries incident, after all the nasty things the French said about the US - what I want to know is who was first to start the sucking up?

What 'freedom fries' incident? One schmuck with a restaurant and the US congress dittoing it in their pivate cafeteria. It never had any 'traction' in the heartland except in the media.

Ordering 'freedom fries' was good for a laugh at my local diner two years ago. No they are not all Deomcrats over here.

And general hostility to the French pre-dated the war. The 'cheese eating surrender monkey' thing on The Simpsons was back in the 1990's.

Chirac is a crooked as they come.

Why didn't France want a war in Iraq? Because French oil companies were making billions in illegal oil sales off Saddam. Chirac's financial backer Patrick Maugein and former French Ambassador to the United Nations Jean-Bernard Merimee are all implicated in the scandal. Chirac used government funds to pay for holidays for his family, Chirac is also accused of bribery, payments for work or posts that never existed, cheap housing deals for party members, etc. And wrap all that corruption up in a good old scapegoat like Alain Juppe, head of Chirac's party, who took a bullet for Chirac.

I can't recall any comments here about France being principled on it's opposition to the war, just not stupid. But I agree, Haliburton should be allowed to make all the illegal billions, why should the French have all the fun.

Yes, why talk about Chirac when one can dodge the topic, ignore the issue, turn it on it's head and then blame Haliburton and America....All of Australia must be proud that a_u_p has not lost his "touch"... :D
