• Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.

Child has WWII memories.

This is the same case that was on Primetime Thursday last week and is being discussed in This thread. What your link describes, that was not in the TV show, is how the boy's nightmares started well after they took him to a museum featuring WWII planes.

And remember folks - as crapulous as this evidence is, it's the best they've got!

The title of this thread should have been, "Child Saw Any Number of WWII Documentaries, Especially Since He Has Interest In The Subject".

Of course, that would be one long thread title.;)

Ever notice how no one is ever a maid or a peasant with an uneventful life in one of these 'past lives'? It's always something sexy.

Best they've got?? I would say just about the worst they've got. This account basically means nothing whatsoever. I was thinking about commenting, but what could I say?

Best they've got?? Are you truly this ignorant, or are you just actively engaged in disinformation, or what??

No, I've never noticed that. Quite the contrary to what I've read in fact. You'd need to provide references.

This Primetime TV show was advertised days ahead of time by saying "If you're a skeptic, we dare you to watch!" In th opinion of the reporters anyway, this is the among the best cases that can be made for reincarnation.

If you know of other cases that are more persuasive, please let us know. I haven't seen them. And you may want to let ABC News know too.

So WTF makes these reporters such an authority?? How much of the evidence have they studied?? And TV programmes always get advertised like that. Well at least I expect they do over in the USA. They have vested interests in getting people to switch on and watch.

Study the reseach of Ian Stevenson. Here are some references.

I have WWII memories. Last night, the mighty 8th Panzer spearheaded the attack on Grevenmacher, wresting it from the Verdampt French with combined armor, air and infantry.
I personally killed several infantrymen, and destroyed an enemy tank.
Let me tell you, the action was furious!

Oh wait, that was WWII online. Well, I was drinking beer....

Wow.

Just for the record.

A quick look at the museum website (and I mean quick) reveals:

Spitfire Drop Tank

F-4U Corsair

With this:
During World War II the Corsair proved more than a match for the Japanese Zero and other advanced Japanese fighters. The Corsair achieved an impressive eleven-to-one victory ratio against Japanese aircraft. Corsairs also excelled in the ground attack role and were heavily employed as close air support aircraft during the Pacific island hopping campaign.

And I wonder how much more they got from a live tour guide. The name of an aircraft carrier the Corsair flew from in the aforementioned Pacific island hopping campaign?

Yeah, all that stuff from the kid came out of thin air.

Are these parents serious? Or maybe lookin' for some pub.

I just tried regressing myself, and I remembered how I escaped from a prison camp by dropping dirt down the legs of my trousers and jumping over the fence on a motorbike.

I was chomping down on a cheese burger when the thought hit me, what if the hindu's are right. I could be feasting on dear departed Uncle Rick. Then I membered they don't put rat in cheese burger, must be somebody else. Couldn't possibly be anyone I know.

Even if there were no evidence for reincarnation whatsoever, that doesn't mean that it's not an eminently reasonable and plausible hypothesis. Do people agree?

I remember being in a German POW camp where we would sneak out, but not to escape, but to spy for the Allies. We had tunnels all over the damn place, one right under the doghouse.

Two pounds of chocolate could get the guard to look the other way. Especially Bavarian chocolate. "I know nothink, NOTHINK!" he would bellow. What a silly fat man he was.

Ian Stevenson's research is usually put forward by the easily impressed as being the best evidence for reincarnation. I read his book, "Children Who Remember Previous Lives, A Question of Reincarnation", which supposedly showcased 14 of his most compelling cases. My conclusion was, if Stevenson's work is the best evidence there is for reincarnation, then there is no good reason we need to believe in reincarnation.

My review of this book was published on a prestigious skeptical website. ;)

You can read the first part of the review here.

The second part is here.
